foetal movements

my wife is 21 weeks pregnant & its our first baby. she oftenly feels our baby movements, but not regularly, kindly apprise me about the situation, when she ll start feeling regular movements, their frequency and related aspects. thanks.

And...I'm 32 weeks and my doctor JUST started to tell me to do kick counts...

I didn't feel first movement until 20w and regular movement was around 28w

Normal. At 20 weeks I sometimes would go days without feeling movements and it would freak me out since I'm only 5'5 and 93 pounds so there really wasn't much extra room. Remember that at this point the baby is still small enough that it can find places to hide and may be kicking away and she just can't feel it. By 27 weeks I believe that is when the movements become more regular and the doctor tells you to start doing the kick count.

I did not feel consistent movement until 26-28 weeks. Completely normal! Congrats!

I think she should start feeling regular movement where she can pick up on a pattern by 28 wks or so. It's normal not to feel them all the time or with any regularity at this point. Congratulations on your little miracle! Take care :)
