my labor story!

So I posted this morning that my water has broken, I didn't mention that although it was my water it was blood. It just gushed and gushed. Well that happened at 9 am CST and I was at the hospital by 930. I was dilated to a 3 and having contractions every 2-3 minutes. At about 3pm they came to do my epidural because the pain was getting worse. They checked me but I was still only at a 3 and still losing a significant amount of blood. They did the epidural and started pitocin trying to jump start the dilation but said I was only 80% thinned out. They checked me again at 630 pm and I was only at a 4 so my doctor decided it was time for a c section.  They started prep and then took me back. At 725 pm on October 6th my daughter was born at 6 lbs 14 Oz and 21 inches long. I found out only after my c section that I had a placental abruption (part of the placenta had detached from the lining of the uterus) and that was what had caused all the blood. The good thing about having to end up having a c section was that I got my tubes tied at the same time instead of having to wait 6 weeks like I was originally told I would have to do if I delivered vaginally. I'm in a little pain but it was definitely worth it. My daughter hasn't stopped cooing!  I love her so much. She is perfect in every way!

I've had all the kids I can handle. My pregnancies were both very rough and I don't want to have anymore kids.. before I ever came to the decision to get my tubes tied I actually prayed about it ALOT. Trust me I consulted God on my decision being as how it was surgery.. so please don't jump to conclusions..
