No hun...if it was the first day of your period the egg is already unviable and its actually getting flushed out...no judgement here just be careful in the future...i know sometimes like when your in the moment its hard to remember protection but just do your best because like you said you arent ready to be a parent...good luck love and best wishes :))

To my knowledge sperm can only live like 3 days to a week

sperm can survive for up to five days in the right environment. have you noticed that about two weeks before your period you get stretchy cervical mucous? we here call it egg white cervical mucous (ewcm) cause it kinda looks like egg whites. that is the optimal environment for sperm and we call that your fertile stage. and this is generally 2 weeks after the first day of your period. so your situation is far enough away from your fertile stage. and sperm doesn't last nearly that long when you aren't in your fertile stage. and as agrell said you would have sluffed it off with your period.  i wouldn't be too concerned about pregnancy if this was the only time you had unprotected sex.
what i am worried about is you.  please go see your doctor. they will do a pap, to check you out and make sure things are working as they should. and please get one every two years. and if you aren't interested in children yet, please discuss birth control with your doctor, ask how it works and how it will affect your body, be aware! and always wear a condom. birth control helps you better control your chances of pregnancy and condoms help you better control your chances of std's. be smart and be safe, protect yourself always.
ps if you aren't ready to go see the doctor and be upfront about your sexual activities then it would only be logical that you aren't ready to have sexual activities. you are a smart girl though and i have every confidence that you will be smart about your body and take good care of it.

There is NO time during your cycle that you are completely safe from pregnancy. If the sperm does manage to survive 5-7 days and you ovulate very early in your cyle (which is impossible for you to know unless you're tracking ovulation), it is possible to get pregnant. It is unlikely so I wouldn't panic yourself, but it's definitely a good idea to keep that in your mind for the next time this situation comes up.
