They always overflowed us with diapers and dry wipes at the hospital I deliver in so we.took.the home, we'd empty the thing out everytime they brought them. Heck my insurance covers it so why not?! I stopped packing a full diaper bag. I have diapers a pack.of wipes a cup some snacks, shoes an extra.outfit and my wallet and I go.lol
Kk... Thanks ladies... That helped alot ima bring diapers, a blanket, clothes
Oh I'm bringing some to the hospital lol. If you run out and the nurses/aides are busy (they really do a lot) it may be 10-15 mins before they're able to come with more.
For the hospital all I'm bringing is a couple outfits, a couple onsies, some socks and the booties I bought for her. I'm not bringing any diapers or stuff because the hospital should have all that there for you to use, but you can always bring some anyway in case you little one lets out a stinky one on the way home lol.
Ok... Thanks... Should I pack the same thing for the hospital as well??
If you have a baby who spits up a lot, I got in the habit of throwing an extra shirt for myself in there on long trips. Carrying a full-blown diaper bag got tiresome for us so we really only did so on longer excursions (e.g., plane trips, day trips, etc). Otherwise, I had a biggish canvas purse that became our run-around town diaper bag that had a few diapers, a small wipes case, a cloth, a few ziplocs (for soiled clothes or dirty diapers), and some emergency formula and a bottle (post-nursing). My ever-prepared husband threw a bag with some extra wipes, diapers, and a blanket in the car truck - it saved us more than once!
You'll figure out what more our less you need as you go on :-) it's kinda crazy at first but it gets easier.
Just the diaper bag? I usually pack at least five diapers, wipes, a change of clothes (for baby), burp rag, bib, bottles/formula if formula feeding, some kind of cover if breast feeding, some kind of small toy for entertainment lol, thats kinda the bare basics.....
