no period, negative blood test, back pain, cramping

I have had the para-gard IUD for one year and have been very regular (every 28 days) the entire time.  This month I missed my period and am 2 weeks late. I took several pregnancy tests including a blood test which were all negative.  I have mild cramping, scant brown discharge, and an abnormal lower backache. Does this sound like pregnancy to anyone? I feel a little different in general. I am concerned about a possible ectopic pregnancy? Could that be possible with a negative blood test?

I called the nurse at my OB and she was actually pretty rude and blew off my concerns like I was stupid for even calling. So I'm going to a different doctor on Monday. Thanks for your response. I'll let you know how it goes.

If it was an ectopic pregnancy I would think it would show on a blood test. I had an ectopic pregnancy a year ago and my levels were normal, my ob never thought anything was wrong until my tube ruptured. have you talked to your doc about your concerns?
