With my first I stayed 3 days. With my 2nd I stayed 4. They were both c sections and I have very low blood pressure so the drs wanted to keep an eye on me. My advice is to enjoy every minute you're there. Rest up, enjoy your meals and bonding time with baby. Because once you go home, it's all on you. I look forward to my comfy stay in 29 weeks. Maybe this time they'll keep me for 5 days since I'm having my tubes tied! ^_^
I'm only 22 weeks, so i don't know if i have it, they won't test for it till later in the pregnancy:/ i hate that! I want to pack my bag already BC I'm excited:) but it's way to early!! Like 8 weeks too early lol!! Plus i have none of the stuff to pack. Any other moms this anxious or excited? Or was this anxious & excited?
Not sure if you have this, but figured I would bring it up just in case. They told me that since I have group b strep that I will have to stay for a minimum of 48 hours to make sure the baby didnt get it and all is well. Hopefully you dont have it so you dont have to worry about it though lol :)
Most hospitals it's 36-48 hours after birth
Ok BC i heard of women going home the same day so i was wondering what the hospital bag was for. Now i know it could be a few days!
At my hospital it is 36 hours for a vaginal birth and 3 days for a C-section.
I stayed 2 days, i delivered vaginally. It was supposed to be 3 but i was feeling really good and the doctors said if i wanted to go home i could. My bfs sister said she stayed 5 days with her c sections.
With my first I stayed 4 days.
I think 24 hrs after baby's born unless there is a problem
