unconfirmed twins at 5weeks

I am 5weeks pregnant and went for my first u/s yesterday. I and having awful cramps and back pain! Never had any issues in previous pregnancies. So when the Dr did the u/s right away he seen two sacs but said he can't confirm it's twins yet!! Why not?? He said one sac was small!!  Im freakimg out! Does this mean I will lose on of them??

He is probably waiting because if one sack is smaller it might mean you will lose it its called disappearing twin syndrome.

I think he waiting till u farther along and he can see two growing in each sac and two little heart beats :) I wish u luck don't stress usaly one twin is biger then the other
