Thank you so much for the advice it helped out a lot we are really hoping for our BFP this time :)
Hiyah
It takes 10days for a fertilised egg to implant therefore its normally 14days after ovulation your period is due this is why most women dont test until there period is due since until the egg has impanted you wont produce the pregnancy hormone HCG so 4 days later if the egg has been fertilised and implanted the HCG will be high enough for a sensative pregnancy test to detect.
I think it all depends on which test your using some are ultra sensative like 10 and some wont detect HCG until over 50 so if you want to test before your period is due you should use an ultra sensative and would say about 4days before period is due although this could always be a "false" result as your body may have not had enough time to produce a good amount of the hormone for the preg test to detect.
I hope his helps, good luck.
If a baby was conceived the it takes 7-10 days after ovulation for the baby to implant. The hcg hormone isn't even present in your body till implantation. You also have 24-48 after a positive OPT for ovulation to happen. So it is possible you didn't even ovulate till yesterday. A OPT only picks up your LH surge which happens 24-48 hrs before you even ovulate. So you need to wait till about the 27th to test. I hope this is helpful. So your surge was the 17th but you could have ovulated as late as yesterday so your period could next period could be anywhere for the 30th -1st.
