evening primrose oil capsules?

Is anyone taking them or has taken them in the past? Im getting induced at 39 weeks currently 36+3 and my husband is gone for 2 weeks and I dont want to take them if they make me go into labor early?! My cervix is still closed so I want to get help get things started so I can have less chance of getting a c-section!

I'm also 36+ 3 and I just started taking them. 2 capsules (1000 mg each) in the morning and at night I poke a hole in one and insert it vaginally before bed. It's supposed to help you dilate but alot of women dilate weeks before they actually go into labor and the oil doesn't stimulate contractions so I think you would be ok. Have you asked your doctor about t?

I wont see my doctor until Tuesday. My sister just told me about these this morning. I'll have try...thank you :) and are you having a boy or girl???

It works, I used with my first and it really helped to soften my cervix.

They really worked for me. I started taking them around 36 to 37 weeks. I was taking 1 every 6 hours. Then when I got to 38 weeks I was continuing to take 3 a day and insert 2 vaginally at night before bed every night. I beliefs it helped my cervix dilate faster when I got into labor. Because I was dilating like crazy. My labor was only 5 hours.

This might sound stupid but do they disolve vaginally or do they end up falling out and how far do you stick them in???

I am taking them as well. Yea they dissolve in there, but oil will cone out so you might want to sleep on top of a towel or use a thin panty liner

My sister said you can buy them at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS pretty much anywhere they sell vitamins

I'm having a girl :) I think they would displace naturally but I poke a hole in them before putting it in just in case. I got mine at Target, they were pretty cheap!

How exciting!! I thought i was having a girl too but twice they did the sonogram and its definitely a boy lol! I'm ready but now my mind iz running with things i need to get done before hes here. Hard to relax. & I should have got mine at Wal-Mart they are 5.88 but I didn't want the long drive so went to Albertsons and it cost me $12!!
