baby's weight.

Ok so I have a question. I know the doctor usually let's one know how much the "baby weighs" before birth. And I'm just wondering how accurate is it,? Did anyones baby weigh exactly what the doctor predicted, or did it weigh more or less,???

I had an ultrasound last week at 35w3d and was given an estimated weight of 7lb14oz with more than four weeks of growing left to go. I don't believe that for a minute. My first was estimated to be about 7lbs two days before he was born at 9lbs. They're guessing. They don't know.

It was a bit off, my whole pregnancy I was warned I could have a low birth weight baby and even the last few weeks my doctor kept saying she'd be maybe 6.5 lbs. But sure enough my daughter came out a healthy 7lbs 7oz. Same with one of my brother too, they induced my mother 3 weeks early because they kept saying he was going to be too big but he came out only 6 something pounds. So don't put too much weight, theyre guesstimates at best

It's not accurate at all, can be off by as much as 2 lb. They told me my daughter was gonna be over 8 lb and she was a tiny 6lb10
