Some places wont pierce them unless they have had their 2 month shots
MommyOfMandA when you find a pediatrician you can ask them if they pierce ears. Our office uses earrings make of swarovski crystal and surgical plastic so they are super strong and have almost no chance of allergic reactions. I know mine were done by my pediatrician as a child so I believe a fair amount of them probably pierce ears.
From experience they will loose them I kept buying my daugther gold ear rings when she got her ears pierced and it was even the twisty one and she still some how managed to loose the her earings never got suck in anything but they did get lost
3 months and.sometimes her.doctor can.do.it
Personally im waiting because while they're young they will catch in blankets and clothing and will ruin there ear with it being easier to tear... also if they get ear infections often it will be very irritated
Some Religions do it at Birth bit i see most babies get them Around 3 months jst ask your doctor
Do many doctor's offices pierce ears? I would much rather have my 1 year old's ears done at a doctor but I didn't even know they did them until that comment.
Yea I think it's 6 weeks to 8 weeks.... I see people saying 6 months. My friend just had a baby and she not quite 3 month yet.
I think I got my daugther done at 6 weeks that way she was too young to remember feeding comfort her right after so not much crying
My grama pierced my little girls when she was 2months and if I'm having another little girl this time around she'll do it again . its kind of a tradition to have her Pierce the girls' ears lol . but I think its 6months anywhere that does them
People suggest having the babies had its first shots before getting ear piercings. I had mine done at 6months old
Scarletbegoniass, I assumed based on the fact that theres age restrictions. Like in Philly no one under 16 can get pierced. I had to go outside of the city even with parent consent to get pierced.
The drs office I work at pierces at 6 months, that's when and where I'll be getting my daughters done. I had mine done as a baby and to me its easier to care for and then by the time she's old enough to play sports you don't have to worry about the holes closing when you take them out.
Also, ears grow and the position of the piercing could be perfect while theyre babies and shift as they get older.
I am a professional licensed piercer and every shop in the town I work in does infant ear piercings. Lol...
In my personal opinion, its ridiculous to pierce baby's ears. Babies dont need adornment, I dont see why its necessary. And from a stand point of person who gets piercings, yoy cant even get a professional ear piercing for a child or infant. Now, I got my lobes done really young at a piercing pagoda, first holes in 2nd grade. But I wanted them. A true, liscensed piercer would never touch a child, and the piercing guns they use at piercing pagodas and Claires arent good for the piercing. The shooting action causes trauma to the ear, making healing more difficult. It would be more proper to have it done with needles. However, I, and probably a billion other youngins & babies get them done with guns with no issue. Like I said, all that was just my personal opinion. Lol.
Age doesn't matter as long as the baby's earlobes are big enough to peirce. I have seen 1 year old babies that you couldn't pierce but I have pierced babies as young as 1-2 months. It depends on where you go and how little the lobes are.
Well I'm not sure the age but when I was couple days old my mom got my ears pierced
I think you can get them done at a piercing shop at like 3 months at the earliest my friend pierced her baby's ears at 4 months
i thought the younger the better so theydont mess with it (not super young)
I read somewhere that they have to be 6months or older before they can get their ears pierced but I could be wrong.
Your choice. If you do get her pierced though, try going to a real piercing shop not a claires. Piercing guns are worse than using the sterile stainless steel needle. :)
Im wondering the same thing, I want to get my daughter's ears pierced..
