I look 3 mo pregnant but showing negative on all hpt

I am a 30 year old female. Last 2 menstruations light but on time (28 day cycle), the most recent 7/28 lasted only 2 days and wasn't enough to use a pad. Started pink, then bright red, ended pinkish brown. My periods are always on time and with regular (not heavy) flow. No bleeding inbetween periods. I started having symptoms about 2 weeks prior to last period  and they have not subsided. Nausea, headaches, acne, extremely swollen breasts (but not real sore) swollen stomach, tiredness, increased appetite/weight gain and twinges or cramplike feelings in my upper abdomen just under my rib cage. Sometimes on the right side, left and middle of upper abdomen. No soreness in back, legs, or lower abdomen. No pain in shoulder and no pain with intercourse. (I read that those were typical signs of ovarian cysts). I started craving milk and my fingernails and hair have also had changes (stronger and growing faster). My mood has also changed: crying easily. My husband and I agree that it is much worse than any pms symptoms I have ever had. Hpt tests are still negative and they are being done correctly. I have an appt with ob/gyn in a couple days. No insurance, so I want to know what the right questions to ask and what tests I should request. My husband thinks I am pregnant, but tests (25 mcui sensitivity) still negative. Thoughts and opinions please?

I agree to get a blood test done just to rule everything out. However, all though you can bleed during pregnancy around the time your period would be due it is not a period because you are not ovulating. Its also very VERY unlikely. Bleeding can happen in pregnancy for all sorts of reasons but its usually caused by something.

It could be something else, but it sounds like you are pregnant.  It is rare but not unheard of for women to be pregnant and never test positive with the urine tests.  It is also not unheard of for women to have their periods throughout their pregnancy.  Again, it is rare.  I would have your doctor do a blood test as they are much more accurate than the urine ones.  If it is negative, s/he should do some more labs to find out what is going on.

You might have a condition known as PCOS.  Your doctor will know the right tests to run.

its honestly hard to say what is going on...negative HPTs would point to you are not preg but your symptoms could be a hormonal imbalance...i am no doctor and no expert so please dont take what i say literally...there is just so many different things that are going that the only thing you can do is sit and talk with your doc and ask them what they recommend for you

best of luck to you
