Your better off trying not to think about the pain or any part of labour as you will just constantly worry yourself. I went into the labour ward expecting the worst and was actually surprised at how little it hurt. I got through it with just a few puffs of gas and air. Obviously everyone handles pain differently and you may need different pain relief but you will be fine. Xxx
Well labor hurts. The only way out of the pain is the epidural. I just had my third a week ago, no drugs. Honestly, I don't remember much of the experience, but my doctor said she could hear me screaming down the hallway through the security doors, and the nurses heard me screaming at the other end of the hall. BUT I'm alive. lol (I also had a different birth experience. I went from 5cm to baby crowning in about 5 minutes, and my body pushed my daughter out before anyone could get to us.) It might sound scary, but let me tell you... I did my other two with the epidural and didn't feel a thing. I am the biggest wimp alive. I mean I cry over the smallest amount of pain, but I made it through 15 hours of drug free labor. If I can do it, anyone can. :) You will do fine, and once its all over, you will forget it all!
I wouldnt worry urself about it
As much as u hav a plan for urself u hav no idea on how things are actually gonna go.. i had a plan of a drug free labour but was in labour for 11hrs very intense labour then decided to hav the epidural an was still in labour for many more hours!! So this time i plan to go with the flow drug free for aslong as i can handle :-) Everybody is so different an the way their bady handles labour! But i wish u the best of luck!
Depends on your pain tolerance. But the pain is bad. You may or may not be in tears depends on you. With my first I went all natural, pain was crazy but I didn't scream or cry I just did what I had to do. With my second pregnancy, I had the epidural because the pain was getting to intense for me. I had been in labor for 18 hrs and wasn't dilating past 5cm, once I got the epidural I dilated to a full 10 within minutes. I plan on getting the epidural again.
