is this normal?

I just had my son 3days ago. I refuse to put him on formula and he was having trouble latching on, so I decided to start pumping (as of last night) .. I only got 1/2 oz to 1oz.. now today my breasts are huge and hard and I just pumped 2 1/2 oz..

is it normal for your milk supply to come in soo fast?

Get in touch with an IBCLC right away - they can help you learn how to get a good latch. It's not as instinctual as people think - it takes practice. Babies learn quickly, they just need help sometimes getting the hang of it especially at the beginning when supply is changing so much. Learning a good deep latch will make breastfeeding much much easier for both of you in a hurry. Good luck! Don't give up!!

My niece had trouble latching so my sis would pump non stop like every couple hours for the first few months we couldn't go anywhere for long because she would swell!! So once that milk starts flowing it's coming in a lot!

latching can be a learning experience. If you dont want to pump all the time I would get in touch with a lactation consultant.
