I don't agree with being cut everyone ive talked to says it doesn't heal as well and my doc won't do it for same reason and I trust him very much but they can also cut too much. The nurse was massaging and pulling the whole time she was there and I had a 1st degree tear with a 8lb 15oz boy and kegels will help heal u alot faster so start practicing now if u don't do em already
You can also use evening primrose. Google it, there are different ways to use it!:)
It's called keagels! Flex your muscles inside your vagina! And massage the bottom of your v and stretch the skin every chance you get! I didn't rip with my son because of those two things!
You can always tell your obgyn that you want to be cut if it looks like your going to rip. Being cut leads to quicker healing and less scaring.
I was cut and it was a pretty big cut. I'm not trying to freak you out just want to give you all the info. I wasn't fully healed until almost 3 months after she was born. But I was feeling MUCH better just a few days after she was born. Just remember that it's worth it! Do your kinkles and listen to your Dr and everything will be great!
That was my worst fear, too. I can tell you it wasn't anywhere close to as bad as I expected and I felt totally healed after a week. When I got the stitches there was almost no pain. The worst part is when they use the gauze to stop the bleeding.
I'm more scared about that then anything.
My first time, I was cut just a little & stiched up after delivery. I was healed by my 6wk check up. I didn't feel a thing. Second baby, no tearing, no cut.
Push when they tell u too. Some people keep pushing or push to fast so the rip. That's what my doctor told me to do with my daughter and it worked
