1 cm dilated, 60% effaced

I got my 36 week check up today! My baby girl has dropped, is 6 1/2 lbs, and I'm 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced. I'm due dec 6, but I'm hoping she comes a week early cause her dads bday is november 26th and she would make the perfect present :P so since I'm already dilated and so effaced do u think she will probably be coming sooner the estimated due date??

Yes im a ftm. I did feel sharp pains every once in awhile but I thought it was her dropping, apparently she already was lol. It doesnt hurt to get checked either. I sae some posts about getting checked hurting.. Ive been checked 3 times and its nvr hurt. And I lile being checked lets me kno whats going on since I cant tell,myself and it lets the dr know if they r head down

I was checked frequently with my first, I'm now pregnant with my second and I'm 38w2d and haven't been checked at all because you get your hopes up if you're dilated at all but you could still have a few weeks since babies come on their own time.

Are you a first time mom? Did you recognize anything, something that made you thinklike "oh thats because I was dialating" or " that must have been when I was dialating" ?? I only ask because I'll be checked also next appt nd I'm nervous, I don't want him in me if it will be for no reason,lol.

Lol ok thank you. Yes hopefully she isn't stubborn! But with me and her fathers blood in her... she will probably be 2 weeks over due just to mess with us lol

I was dilated at a two and 60% effaced at 37 weeks and went one day past my due date.. Hopefully she isn't as stubborn and comes earlier :)

i was 1cm and 70% effaced and -2 station starting from 36 weeks i had to miss my graduation and all cause of it but i still went to term i went in labor at 39 weeks 4 days
