first time mom! help

I'm 11 weeks today and I was wondering how early could I find out the sex of the baby? I asked my mom and she said 5 months then I ask my friend she said 4 and my pregnancy book says 3 months please help!

It just depends I have heard 16weeks to 20weeks I went in when I was 16weeks n they wouldn't tell me said I had to wait till 18weeks I guess it's just up to doc or nurse

Its just all depends. Just be patient boy or girl im sure it wouldnt change a thing. At 18 weeks the doctors told me i will find out the gender but when i went the ultrasound tech said it was to early to tell, My bf and I just wanted to know already and we thought for sure he could have seen by now if it was a boy or girl so the next day we went to a small free clinic and they said it was a girl but on our 22 week appointment the ultrasound tech said it was a boy and showed us the penis. He regret not just waiting another month, our lil ones penis was probably to small to tell yet. Im now 25 weeks and it hasnt changed our excitement and we still have much to buy stuff for him and soon we will start planning the baby shower. Just be patient i was the same way when i just found out i was expecting lol

With my daughter I was 16 weeks but normally I think they want you close to 20 weeks
