just had my first OB appt, and i need advice!

So i just had my first appointment today and they checked my weight and my blood pressure and there checking my beta levels. also they did a pap and when she did it i bled just a tiny bit. she also marked me as HIGH RISK. is that probably because i had a miscarriage last month and never had a normal cycle beofre getting pregnant again?? now i am even more paranoid. are my chances of miscarriage higher because i JUST had one? i get my first ultra sound done it two weeks and im soooo scared because im afraid there will be something wrong. plus i just found out my cat is dieing and my grandpa is in the hospital. im so stressed right now i just want to curl up and sleep for the next 9 months.

Ohhhhhhhhh... you're the girl who lives near me someplace!!! Did you end up liking your doc? Who is your doc? I might know them!!! There are a few BAD docs over at NKC and I'll let you know if yours is one of 'em if you want me to.

Your risk of miscarrying is the same for every woman! You do not carry a higher risk of miscarrying. I had a miscarriage and got preggo right after my first period. My daughter is turning 1 next month!

I would think they are considering you high risk due to something else. But every doc's office is different. I was not considered high risk after my m/c. And a lot of women bleed after a pelvic exam.

You need to ask your doc why they labeled you as high risk!

I'm guessing you are a high risk patient due to the previous miscarriage. They tell you to wait one or two cycles before trying to conceive again, just so your body has time to heal and recooperate. However, your chances of having another m/c should be just about the same as it ever was before, not higher. just hope for the best and try to relax. I'm sure everything will be fine.  Good luck.

I'm sorry. Yea, you'd be high risk because of the prior M/C. Just try to take it easy, I know all about the stress thing.
I found out my hubby cheated on me 4 days before finding out I was pregnant. Talk about stress.
