I thought the eclipse was late during the day lol im so new at this ...this is my first baby so im just learning
My mom made me wear something red around my belly during eclipse
Either a red shirt or a red ribbon or red underwear as long as it went over my belly I always had something red on during my pregnancy.
It's my first baby too but my mom did it with my little brothers pregnancy & all my friends lol
You can look online it says from what time to what time but usually at night time
Please don't start this stuff on here again last time it scared the crap out of 100's of ftm for no reason. Tere is no profe and 100's of cases of perfictly fine babys being born after mother has been out in an eclips. I understand in some religions people belive this and thats fine do whatever you need to to get u buy but don't go stressing out 100's of othere women and corsing them stress witch is actuly dangerous to them and baby.
Look alison not to be rude but you have your religion and we have ours im just asking a simple question because theirs mothers out there like me that we have our beliefs if you dont like it dont comment...and im not trying to scare no one im just asking
Congradulations with your first baby (: by the way thank you
You shouldnt be outside during a solar eclipse anyways. Its bad to look at the sun it can make you go blind. But yeah its a red tibbon ot shirt around your belly. And its a solar eclipse so its during thr day. A lunar eclipse is during the night.
I don't have any religion that is not the point I'm just asking that you think of others because last time this topic was bought up there where ftm running to hospitals and doctors petrified that there baby was going to die. And I'm not trying to be rude either I'm just letting you know that buy posting this here you could cause a lot of un necessary stress to a lot of women. It did a lot of damage and crossed a lot of women to leave the sight las time and admin even deleted many of the posts.
Why will people be scared?? Well we all have our religion and beliefs and im not trying to scared no one this is my family beliefs so i have to go with it ..
Because last time people spread a heap of stories about eclipses taking bites out of your baby and coursing really bad birth defects ( and i know its not your fault that others did this ) and told mums that it was 100% true. It was a huge mess with many women in full panic mode. I'm not trying to say you have no right or reason to believe it and as i said do whatever you need to to get thru it just please be carful about posting it on here as it crossed so much damage last time
If yall don't believe in this kind of stuff everything will be fine no need to worry ;) & I thinknwe are habung a lunar eclipse on Thursday!
Yea my family believes in that stuff to and told me to wear something red and a safety pin on my underwear. They say not to go outside that day during the day and night the reason is because since the moon is full and is viewed closer and bigger to earth it lets off a lot of radiation from the sun that day. But who knows it's just how our religion views it.
What religion is this? I'm sitting here baffled by this whole conversation.
Does anyone in this thread actually know what an eclipse is, from an astrological physics kind of reality?
This is 100% folklore without any medical or scientific evidence to support that a solar eclipse, or any other sun/moon-related event, presents a danger to pregnant women.
We're closing this thread as our age-group forums are intended for medical questions, and this is a myth that one either believes or doesn't. However, due to recent myth-related threads that have resulted in other pregnant women unnecessarily stressing and fearing for their health, it's not in the best interest of our community members to continue conversations about a "risk" arising from folklore.
If this a family belief, please discuss traditional precautions with them.
