The lactation consultants at my hospital said to call them anytime for help it was free at mine. There's also a breastfeeding forum on here where the girls are very helpful
Thank you! I was referred to wic but i heard they arent always that helpful. Ill ty it for myself i didnt have my baby yet but i will be any day now and i wanted to know who to call when im having problems
No I don't believe they charge you. I ended up meeting with one at a hospital I didn't even have my daughter at, twice actually, and they never charged me. And she sat with me for over two hours one of the times.
they didnt charge me for the lactatoion consultant at the hospital u could even go back after u leave the hospital for help n wic also has them. Another source would be la leche ligue theyre experts
My hospital did not charge me for the lactation consultant beyond what I was charged just to be there anyway.
Have you already had your baby? If so there's a wic office in your area you could go up there and they will help you if your having problems with latch an etc... They also provide pumps. I wouldnt think they would charge you if you call but i no in my area there only yhere m-f so your screwed if you have the baby on the weekend. If you haven't had the baby they will talk with you in the hospital for free.
