Yes, she should be treated ASAP. Blood in stools and severe dehydration are very serious and life-threatening. Please let us know how she does!
thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate your help.
we went to OB today and was suggested to go to hospital(OB triage) directly. My wife got a simple ultrasound and the baby seems OK. Now I am sending the thanks from hospital. The specialist has already visited us and we are waiting for the testing results. All the Docs think we should be treated ASAP. My wife was asked to stay in the hospital tonight and is doing IV now. Things are getting better. I guess the lession is that going to the hospital directly (emergency or OB triage) will accelerate the process qucikly. They can get all the DOC/specialist quckly using medical consultation, not regular appointment.
Thank you for all the help.
all the best
They did in the emergency room at the Beth Israel hospital for me in Boston, MA. And they also did it for me in the emergency room in Uruguay! I bet they will at your hospital, too. Good luck!
They might if you ask. It would depend on the hospital.
Yep if you say that she is sick and dehydrated and having severe diarrhea they should check to make sure everything is ok.
thanks for the suggestion. we saw our OB last monday and were refused for the ultrasound test. They check the heart rate of the baby and think it is normal. Do you know if we can get an ultrasound test if we go to the emergency room?
Go to the emergency room. The last thing you want is for something that could've been prevented, ignored. At the very least you can get an ultrasound to make sure your baby is doing well, and your wife can be put on a nutritional intravenous. I am no doctor, but I would definitely go. Why take any risks?
