Doppler - no heartbeat

I saw the midwife today and she used the Doppler on me. She couldn't find a heartbeat. She thought she did and she said the numbers were showing, then showed me. I'm 10 weeks. Should I be worried?
My first ultrasound is on the 15th.

Yeah they tried to hear mine at 13 weeks and couldn't find it. I was concerned too and my doctor kind of giggled and said its nothing to be worried about, so she went and got the u/s just in case and my baby was kickin around :)

Don't worry it could be a misunderstanding . I went in for my 17 week check up & she couldn't find the baby's heart beat . After about ten mins of looking she realized the baby was way up . She said I was measuring 7 weeks more then what I am .

Heck, I'm 26+4 & they still have trouble getting my little ones HB everytime. We can see him moving but he will not sit still long enough to get a reading. She's like "I know your in there little one. I see you." lol

I wouldnt worry. It should show up better on the sono. They used to always loose my babies heartbeat and find it later even when I was farther along lol they would give me all kid of funny looks and find it later. Dont stress yourself out.

Thank you. Makes me feel better now. Could be a week off, but I highly doubt it. I just can't wait for my first scan already... :)

I couldn't hear mine at the first visit either. I had to wait until 14 weeks. There are many reasons you wouldn't hear it at 10 weeks. Baby in a bad position, dates are off, extra tummy fat, & many other things.
