lots of questions.

Was wondering what kind of reading material is recommended for pregnant women.  I have "What to expect when you are expecting".  Are there more good ones out there.  That one seems so general.  The things in it are more like common knowledge (most of it).  Something more in depth about symptoms, feelings and such??

for instance I'm feeling really crampy.  (lower abdomen)  I think I may be 5 weeks.  Maybe 9 weeks.  Its hard to tell.  My last peroid was June 28.  I skipped July, but took a ton of tests that whole month.  I got a bfp on August 22.  Wondering how far along I am.  Do I trust all those negative tests???  My first doctors appt isn't until Sept 22.

My favorite pregnancy books:

"From the Hips" by Rebecca Odes and Ceridwen Morris
"Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" by Ina May Gaskin

You should be able to tell from a sonogram when your due date will be.  Good luck!

I hate What to Expect.

I like Your Pregnancy Week-by-Week and The EVERYTHING Pregnancy Book.

Skipping a period in July simply means you ovulated late as your period comes based on when you last ovulated.

Any book and woman will tell you- you do NOT have to have all the symptoms. It is not indicative of a problem if you're not throwing up. I haven't thrown up once this pregnancy and I'm 33 weeks. Everyones' symptoms will be different.

i'm nervous because I feel so good.  I know that is weird, but...  I have a 4 year old and when I was pregnant with her I felt horrible!!!  I don't remember all the changes, so I want information again.  I am pretty tired, but only slightly nauseated.  I keep thinking that i'm going to go to the doctors in a few weeks and they are going to be like, "Lady, why did you think you were pregnant?  What gave you this idea?"

I have taken 2 tests and there was no mistaking the seccond line.  It was pretty dark.  I also confirmed at the health department.  Even after all this it just doesn't seem real..  I almost wish I would vomit already.  Haha.

I was ten weeks pregnant and took a pregnancy test and it came out negative... didn't get a positive until I went to the doctors, so you could very well be 9 weeks. Crampy is very normal in the first trimester as long as it is not accompanied by any bleeding. The first trimester is normally the worst for all the symptoms. Good luck. I would definitely talk to your doctor if you are concerned about the cramping though.
