Initial anatomy after a Nucal Translucency test. What does this mean?

Hi everyone! I almost 12 weeks pregnant and yesterday I had a Nuchal Translucency test done. The doctor said that everything looked good and he want me to go back for a initial anatomy after 4 weeks. I though this was normal but I have spoken to a couple of friends and they did not have a initial anatomy done from the same center where they did their NT. Is this normal? Did anyone had a similar experience ? Any answer would be appreciated. Thank you.

No, the ultrasound technician is usually who does the test and then a doctor reviews it.  My midwives have never read the test results, only different doctors.

Thank you so much for your response. I feel better already. The only thing that bothers me is that in four weeks I will be 16 weeks and I normally have my ultrasounds done in my doctor's office. Shouldn't be my doctor doing this anatomy test and not the doctor that I did meet yesterday?

The anatomy scan is routine at 18-22 weeks, its to check if all of the baby's organs are developing correctly and to rule out any other deformities.  Also you may be able to find out the gender at that point too.

Its routine to do it in the same office with the same technician, I've never gone anywhere else to do my ultrasounds.
