Idk about you ladies but I get drug tested every time I go into my doctor. And if you give a urine sample you do too. and not to scare you but I just had a good friend who was smoking marijuana during her pregnancy and it came up twice in a row in her drug tests and cps was called and they told her if she came up positive one more time they would take her baby away as soon as it was born. And believe me she never touched it again. But idk if that's a state by state thing but in ohio they are seriously cracking down on people using drugs while pregnant.

I don't know if I would mention marijuana to the doctor at all... Not if there is a chance of losing your baby. Definitely stop doing it though, because there is a huge chance it could harm your baby. To your doctor ASAP about the medication, ask if there are less harmful alternatives. See what he/she suggests. I don't care if people smoke pot, especially for a medicinal purpose, but keep it away from the baby. Especially during brain development!

Ya i totally agree asking a doctor is best! Smoking marijuana is very common in the state im in and i never met anyone with problems because of it so i was really just going off of people i know, doctors ive spoken to, and people who are close to me who were born from serious weed smokers (like my  husband etc.)  I dont think anything unnatural should be consumed or used during pregnancy. I just really feel for those in pain, good luck!! I hope you can find out more info on those prescription drugs, they might be really safe just do your research.

No. You're not a doctor. Neither am I. So the best bet is to ask her doctor if they think it's okay. Smoking pot is fine. But during pregnancy? Isn't that questionable? I mean we can't say if her baby will even develop properly because of it.

Hun, so sorry on what you're going through, I suggest you talk to your doctor and be honest about how uneasy you are on the safety of the medication and that you'd feel better using marijuana instead. But unless you're doctor says "yes" don't do it. The problem wouldn't be actually doing it. The problem would be not getting accurate answers on how harmful it might be to your fetus. I'm sure you can hold it off until you get the green light.

Not my life, just giving a friendly suggestion to someone who is suffering. Im not a doctor obviously. And my doctor actually prescribed me a medication that is questionable during pregnancy and unacceptable for breast feeding (im not going to take it) but i know it can happen if the doctor believe you need the medication.

You could always quit marijuana later (but not too late) in pregnancy. Like 4 or 5 months? And then youll be clean by your due date. And take it easy dont strain or stress or everything will be harder for you. Try cutting back gradually but not cold turkey. That way youll.be ready for it when you have to quit .

Okay, doctors wouldn't prescribe you anything harmful to your growing fetus. So weed shouldn't be an option. Have you been to your doctors recently?
