ovulation and irregular periods.

Hello all, I am new to this site, so I am anxious to see what kind of responses I get.  I am 32 years old.  I have been off BCP for 1 month and am ttc.  I have always had irregular periods (sometimes up to 6 months in between).  My last day of the pill was (sat) 7/25, that is also by the way the same day I started my "pill period".  On Sunday 8/9 (almost exactly 2 weeks later) I ovulated.  I know it was definitely ovulation - lots of slimy egg-white discharge.  It is now 8/24 - a little over 2 weeks after that and still no period.  Normally I wouldn't think anything of it because it is only 29 days since my last "pill period".  But since I definitely ovulated, doesn't that mean that I should be on a "regular" cycle?  Is it more likely that I might be pregnant since I haven't gotten AF yet? I don't know if anyone has any personal experience with a situation like mine or any medical expertise which might be helpful in this instance, but I would definitely appreciate any and all comments.

I agree with the above posting.  I notice the egg white cervical mucus sometims up to a week before I actually Ovulate...and I only know this because I have used the ovulation predictor sticks and also have tried the temping method.  My cycles vary slightly but anxiouslyawaiting is right...if you definitely O...the time ater O before AF shouldn't be more than 16 days...I'd wait until at least then and maybe take a test?  Best wishes to you!

I don't have any experience with you situation but I have read alot on TTC... if you are absolutely positive that you O'd then you should get AF around 14-16 days after (thats the "normal") but the Egg white cm comes a few days before O so I think your O date may be a little later then you think.  I would definately give it til the end of the month especially since you have just come off the pill. And egg white doesn't DEFINATELY mean you ovulated.  Good luck to you..hope you get your BFP (BIG FAT POSITIVE)  =)  I'm not expert this is just from what I have read but hopefully it helps a little.
