I found the heartbeat at 12 weeks, only for a second at 10 weeks. You can look up videos to help you they are very helpful and make sure to use lots of gel :)
You most likely won't be able to hear the heartbeat until after 13 weeks. Even my doctor couldn't find a heartbeat for my daughter at 13 weeks with his fetal doppler and he does it for a living.
Update!!!! So I have got my doppler and was excited to put it to work but after A LONG while I never found the heart beat
I got one at 14 weeks and it said in the manual not to use it until 13 weeks because the baby is still so small it would be difficult to find him or her. It is very aggravating at first trying to determine what the heart beat sounds like but just remember don't stress about it if you can't find it. If you don't just take a break and don't try and look for it after you ate for some reason it's harder to find on a full tummy. Oh and up until you are a good bit along like before 20 weeks you should find it along your bikini line.
It takes me a while to pick it up even now depending on babies position, im 31w but its so lovely to hear :) Its hard because I keep picking up the placenta haha but you can tell the difference because its slower and more of a whooshing sound....
If your only 8 weeks it may take a few more weeks for you to pick it up..
Aww I'm sure it's lovely. With a history of MC the anticipation of waiting a whole month to see the Dr would not cut it for me so I went online and purchased one.just so that I know everything is alright. 8w 1d
It was hard at first for me because youll hear like the blood flow and different noises but then i finally started getting the hang of it about after a week! And then youll learn where your baby is most the time and it gets so easy to find :) ill tell you getting a fetal doppler was one of the best choices i did gives me this peace hearing his wittle heart before i go to bed
