I'm 10 weeks. Iv read that 12 weeks you can tell the sex. My doc doesn't want another ultrasound till I'm 20 weeks to determine. . I don't want to wait that long lol. What are my options?

You can do a panorama and find out at 12 weeks its 100 percent accurate, I would just ask your doctor. It usually takes about a week or 2 for results.

U will probably have to wait until around 20 weeks. I was sooooo anxious to find out the gender. By 13 weeks I had an ultrasound and my doctor could barely determine the gender. So we waited till 20 weeks because it still takes a while for the genital area to develop well enough for the doctor to be completely sure of what ur having. There may be a guess around 12 weeks but it probably wont be completely accurate till latet on.

If you pay you can usually find out around 16 weeks. Most of my friends have found out then and so did i.

I say wait. The genitalia area is barely forming around 12 weeks. I had a friend who was told around 15 weeks that she was having a girl, and when they went back in for their anatomy scan (around 21 weeks) the tech told her she was wrong at first and it was a boy. So the longer you wait, the more secure of an answer you'll get. Trust me, it's worth the wait. Wouldn't want to buy all pink/blue when really you're having the opposite!

Most the time you just have to be patient waiting till the time is right is always better, the could falsely read the ultrasound before 18 weeks

My dr. didnt do an ultrasound after 11 weeks until 19 there's a lot they have to check for around 20 weeks and usually your insurance wont pay for an extra ultrasound just to check gender. Plus theres a much better chance theyll be able to tell gender the longer you wait.

A lot of independent companies will do it at 16 weeks. I got mine done paid out of pocket at 16+6 and confirmed at 18+5 with my doctor with their anatomy scan.

The gender is just becoming visible at around the 12 week mark so its not the best time to determine by ultrasound. Some places say they can tell as early as 14 weeks, but honestly I waited until 20 when the genetalia is fully developed. That early on its very easy to mistake a large clitoris or labia for a penis or vice versa
