Thanks a lot...The wait is just extremelly excruicating for me!!!
Hmm hopefully the perinatologist is able to give you a thourough examination and is able to calm your fears. Hopefully its nothing. The only thing I could think of to cause the ventricles to be more prominent then normal would be an excess of cerebral spinal fluid? Ultrasounds are by no means a definitive diagnostic tool in fetal medicine. Sometimes they can see things that may mean nothing at all. I hope they give you some answers soon bc the wait must be excruciating for you. Please try not to stress until you have seen the specialist.
Sorry I must say you are wrong. Both the heart and brain have ventricles. The brain has two lateral and 3rd and fourth ventrcle, but the heart has 2 ventricles Left and Right and 2 uppper chamber and 2 lower chamber in the heart. Thanks I will try not to worry but it is hard. They want me to go and see fetal maternal specialist for another Ultrassound
Ventricles are in the heart. Prominent meaning they could see them well. Sounds good to me.
I would be worried when they used the words, enlarged, abnormal, absent.
Prominent means they could see it well. Like a prominent ears. They can be seen. Doesn't mean its bad.
Ask the doctor to be sure. I never read any of my reports so I wouldn't over analyze it. Lol but doctor says she's fine and everything is going well.
Well apparently the ventricles in brain are enlarged at the border line
I've never heard that...what exactly does it mean if you know
