1cm dilated

So I went to the hospital this morning because I lost my mucus plug with fluids. They ran tests and told me everything looks fine and I was showing no signs of labor and no contractions. When they checked my cervix they said I was 1 and thick. I didnt even start dilating with my first until I was close to having the baby. Is it normal to dilate at 29 weeks? How long can u stay at 1cm before u start increasing. I just want him to stay in there as long as possible and be a healthy baby

I have two young ones too.  I literally just put up my feet whenever they are asleep.  I have had no swelling this pregnancy where as my other two I had a ton and I think this policy of mine is the reason.  My wedding rings have actually been loose! I am 38 and 4.

I have a 2yr old & 8mo old & pregnant so I def know how that is lol but if u don't have one already,  try to establish a routine throughout the day,  like nap time,  & a bedtime to kind of give you some time for rest. You will thank yourself in the long run. Trust me

It could be weeks before you dilate more. I would watch for those braxton hicks contractions,  the stronger ones usually make u dilate more.  I would slow down a lil do a little less walking & exercise just in case
