need help with ovulation

my best friend is trying to have a baby . but her husband just got deployed yesterday. she said she isnt due for ovulation until the 17th. she slept with her husband on the 12th . can she still get pg. even though its 5 days before she ovulates. please any advice is welcome..shes also had one stillborn and one early miscarriage.. thanks

thanks hes only supposed to be gone 6 months this time last time he was gone a year. i'll keep you posted..

tell your friend(as an ex marine wife) we all know about those deployments! tel2ml her to keep sane, don't stress(esp if this is her first one!), and just send all the mail she can!!!

also, is it possible she ovulated early?

and, not to shoot her down for trying, but depending on the branch and his deployment return, she might be better off waiting till he returns! i mean that, as in, in case his deployment is extended(as the army and USMC LOOOOVE doing) he'd miss all the good stuff!!!

but in either case, i hope all goes well!!! she should wait till around the time her AF is due, then take an HPT!!!

It is possible, as some sperm can live in an 'ideal' environment for many days (I believe up to 7 days)....I'm not sure how common this is though......Best of luck to her.....
