c section and losing weight..plz anwser

Okay so I've heard that if you have a c section you wont lose weight. Is this true?? My doctor said I will most likely be needing a csection because my family history of narrow birth canals and because my baby probably will be too big. Can anyone share your story about having a csection and losing weight??

I had my first via c section in 2010 n I was back to my pre pregnancy weight about 2 weeks after with little effort...i only gained about 25lbs but took no time to lose. I go for another csection with my secound child in a few weeks n hoping it goes just as smoothly n I can go back to my normal size even though I gained alittle more this time, good luck!

Not true at all, my first pregnancy I gained about 50lbs, lost all of it within 2 weeks, this pregnancy I gained 30lbs and 11 days PP was at my prepregnancy weight, I breastfed both times, that helps significantly, but definitely not true you won't lose the weight.
