ECV for breech baby

Has anyone had an ECV procedure done for breech? Any info on it? I am 36 weeks and my doctor said that by next week if my baby is still breech he will perform an ECV - External cephalic version

What are the risks of the ECV? It isn't safe?

I've tried exercises at home. It caused me terrible cramps and made me really sore and my doctor said i should not be doing them.

Lots of women have given birth to breech babies...but pretty sure most hospitals won't let you even try. I know lots of women do it at home
