Might be a stupid question but

What's the different between a membrane strip and rupturing of the membranes?

Stripping the membranes is where your ob inserts his fingers and runs the tip of his finger in a clock wise motion to seperate the cervix from the uterus. Usually helps start labor.

I only know that rupturing the membranes means breaking your water but that's all
