I have never had hpv but working in health care i have taken care of pple and learned about hpv. Its actually an infection and theres about 40 diffrent strands of it. It is the most common STI and most people dont even realise they have it unless theres an issue or you have a pap done. While most people can naturally overcome hpv in about 2 years the more severe cases do have precancer cells develope and wart outbreaks. The abnormal cells come up when you have a raw or irratated cell become infected and normally your body can heal these cells without help as well. Hpv will not effect the pregnancy or baby in most cases, Only if you have wart outbreak would it be needed to have treatment before a delivery. Please dont worry about talking to your ob about this, its so much more common than most people realise. You just want to make sure your ob is totally aware so they can use all the tools at thier disposal to help as needed.
HPV is extremely common, like katngary said make sure you keep up on your pap smears, and colposcopies if your doctor suggests one.
U r fine and the baby cant get it from u but make sure u have regular pap smears and they come up negative and having the guardisal shot
In most cases, no it does not. I'm not sure what type of hpv you have, but just for an example lets say you have genital warts. Women who are pregnant with gw could result in a c-section because of an outbreak. If you have an outbreak during labor and were to give birth naturally, you could risk giving the baby the disease and messing with their vision, vocal box, etc.
No it won't. Baby will be fine. As long as you don't have a wart outbreak during delivery you can go natural. If you do then a c section. But you and babe will be fine.
I have it as well. Apparently 80% of the population has it even though they may not know it. I was told by my Dr that it would not affect my pregnancy
