over-due pregnancy

my girlfriend has been pregnant for almost 16 months, how is that possibly? 11th February 2009 she went to a gyneocologist and was told she 11 weeks pregnant. she had abdominal crampes during the first trimester, and doctor say she has an ectopic pregnancy. due to the pains she accidental overdose pain medication and was rushed to hospital with a slightly pv bleeding. she was discharged the next day with a clean bill of health for her and fetus. she only deliver the baby on the 16th of April 2010 through normal birth. tell me howz dat possibly?

At 11 weeks pregnant to be told it was an ectopic she would have needed surgery to remove it.its not possible to carry an ectopic this far,without serious consequences to your girlfriend.obviously she had a miscarriage at some point,possibly a missed abortion.when in early pregnancy the pregnancy stops and dissolves in the body,and she indeed got pregnant later after.its impossible for her to carry a baby for 16months.

I just answered your other post, but if she had an ectopic pregnancy that means the fetus implanted in her fallopian tubes rather than in the uterus. Its not possible to carry an ectopic pregnancy to term, so the baby she delivered in April would have been a second pregnancy.
