I have my tragus pierced, which they had me take it out at the hospital. It grew over and I was thinking about getting it repierced, but I am pumping so I read about it. Most people recommend not doing it while nursing in case of an infection. I had never had an infection before but when I got my tragus pierced (professionally) I had a metal allergy and got this huge bump. I've never had this issue before, even with cheap Walmart jewelry. Luckily with antibiotic ointment and eventually and gold earring it went away. For this reason I am waiting to repierce, even though it would have been easier before it completely healed. I think it's up to you with what you feel comfortable with though.
Make sure it's like a good place that you go to get it done. I had a piercing and they actually put metal in me rather than medical grade metal or steel or whatever. The only reason I realized it, is because it was turning the inside of my lip black. Went to another place and that's where they told me.
I was thinking of getting it done by a professional. I can't handle the cheap jewelry as it is. But ill ask. Thanks. :)
I Would Talk To Your Doctor. Some Piercings Have Nasty Crap In The Metal Which Can Get Into Your Blood Stream. Don't Buy The Walmart Piercings. It's Cheap And You Will Get A Better Chance Of Infection. Hot Topic Is Good.
