I asked my doctor about dying my hair and she said that none of the chemical they use to dye hair actually get absorbed into the body so its completely safe whenever. However most people wait til their put of their first trimester to be safe since its the most critical time. Like everyone above said in a well ventilated area would be fine

I'm a licensed cosmetologist and with my first child I thought the same thing but there is NOTHING wrong with coloring your hair while pregnant. As long as you do it in a very well ventilated area or in a salon there is no way it can hurt your baby.

Second trimester. Stay in a well ventilated area. As if your hypersensitive noise would allow for anything different. Always talk to your doctor first

I'm a cosmetologist and any type of hair dye is fine in a well ventilated area. You can color your hair at any time in the pregnancy although many people feel safer waiting until 2nd trimester.

First trimester is the most critical in development. Wait for your second trimester. Must be ventilated area.

When you go into your 2nd trimester I hear it's safe... but has to be certain kind of dye. I'd ask your doctor for the okay before hand.. I'm waiting till my pregnancy is over with though.

Second trimester,  dont let it touch your scalp,  and use ammonia-free color,  in a very well ventelated area.
