thats what i keep telling myself too :) anxiety levels are really high at times for me as well, but ive had a pretty stress free and easy pregnancy so that has really helped me out alot on not stressing out and over worrying myself as i tend to do. i will be going from a full-time worker to a stay at home mom though and that tends to worry me on i will do with being more cooped up but its what i always wanted for the first few years then im going back to school and getting my career back.
i am about 18 weeks..and same here mine have lessed..my anxiety is still high at times and its so frustrating because mine is so bad that i have troubles breathing at times and causes me horrible headaches. but what ive decided is that me and my hubby wanted this child so theres no reason i should even be thinking about depression so ive been trying to stay happy and once the baby comes im going to stay as positive as possible. which i know will be hard but i think i can do it..my mom had a little bit of it just because she couldnt get rid of the weight. and a few of my friends had it because they always sat at home and never got to go out and do anything. but if the baby is something you wanted and you stay positive then i think you should be alright!
well i have not mentioned this at all to my OBGYN but i do plan on it next time i go in
A history of psychiatric disorders CAN put you at higher risk for PPD. But it's not gauranteed that you WILL have it. I take an antidepressant, but have gone off of it for my last two pregnancies. I had a bit of a time with mood swings DURING My pregnancy but immediately after giving birth I started on my meds again and have not had any issues with PPD. Even before my diagnosis...when I WAS sufferign from depression but was being treated...I did not develop PPD. My depression was as it always was. No worse, No better. It is something you should be monitored for tho with your history.
how far along are you? my attacks have actually lessened since i got pregnant for some reason which im thankful for :)
i too have panic attacks..and im pregnant with my first..but post partum is common in alot of women after pregnancy. ive heard its because of all the hormones and different changes that you go through once the baby is here. sorry i cant really give you advice! i guess you could ask your doctor more about it and maybe he/she could answer your questions
