postpartum sex?!?? first delivery! help!!

Okay so my son is now three weeks old all my bleeding has stopped just some discharge now like an off yellow/white color tmi. But is it okay to have sex? And if so I bought some tightening cream tmi would it be okay to also use that???

You should try to wait til your post partum check up so they can check your cervix and what not to make sure everything is ok and looks normal. But when you do have sex again make sure you use some form of birth control as you are extremely fertile after giving birth, unless you plan of having another baby right away lol.

I agree with the last post, definitely wait the 6 weeks! Even after the 6 weeks when you have sex for the 1st time after baby it still hurts and you bleed a little so just because you stopped bleeding now doesn't mean that your body is completely healed and ready

Thank you I was just wondering my doctor said its okay if there is no more bleeding but I guess I'll still wait. Thanks for the advice :)

Hi there,.  No.  You are supposed to wait for sex until you've gotten the all clear from your delivering doctor which is at around 6 weeks.  You are still healing inside even if the bleeding has stopped.  Think about what your body has been through.  bleeding was one sign but there is much you can't see that is healing.  so, go to your post partum appointment and wait until your doctor says it is okay.  However, there are other things you can do for pleasure besides just intercourse and those are fair game.  good luck
