POSITVIE/NEGATIVE PREGNANCY TEST

I took a pregnancy test a couple of weeks ago, it came out positive, went to my doctor, took blood and yeaning test, got the results, came out positive for pregnancy, but I had started bleeding a week before the doctor appt, thought it was my peroid, but my test from the doctor still came out positive, was refer to the OB GYN, they took blood and yearning test and that came out negative with the range of 4, they tell me 3 and under range means not pregnant, and 5 and over range is pregnant, I came out a 4, so I'm inbetween positive and negative.  I don't understand??  I have to take another blood and yearning test next week.  Could you give me any advise?

It sounds like you were pregnant and miscarried. I'm so very sorry. The hcg should double every 48hrs but yours has decreased which is normal in miscarriage.

New Pregnancy Study

Research Briefs from The Parent Review
No wait needed for pregnancy after miscarriage

For the best pregnancy outcomes, when should a woman try to conceive again after a miscarriage? The sooner the better, a new study suggests. Scottish researchers looked at data for nearly 31,000 women who became pregnant after an initial miscarriage. Compared to women who conceived 6 to 12 months after their miscarriage, those who became pregnant again within 6 months were 34% less likely to miscarry a second time. They were also less likely to have an ectopic pregnancy, a cesarean or preterm delivery, or a low-birth-weight infant. The highest risks of a second miscarriage and other pregnancy complications were seen among women who conceived more than 24 months after miscarriage. The findings run contrary to current guidelines by the World Health Organization to wait at least half a year to conceive after having a miscarriage, which affects approximately one in five pregnancies.

I'm so sorry :(. I also experienced a miscarriage and it was devastating. I felt like my whole world came tumbling down. I cried all the time for about a week straight. It's the same as grieving the loss of a loved one. The second we get a positive we fall in love with baby. But it will get easier over time. We all have our own ways of coping but do know that you are not alone. There is a miscarriage forum on here that it is wonderful. So many women go through a miscarriage. I am now 31 weeks pregnant and after my miscarriage I never thought i would make it this far into pregnancy. Take the time to be sad and grieve your loss. I'll post on here a article about miscarriage and trying again. Obviously start trying again when you are ready but there are some great stats out there showing that pregnancy is easier to come about AND less complications/miscarriage after a miscarriage.

Again I am so sorry for your loss!

Thank you for your response.  I feel like I'm always sad now, like I want to cry over anything, I'm extra sensitive, maybe because of this positive/negative pregnancy tests.  I really hope this is the last one, this is too much pain to assume you will finally get the answer and you don't.  I never went threw this.  It makes me not feel comfortable anymore with home pregnancy test or doctors when I keep getting different answers, I don't know if I should be happy or sad.
