I have been told (and experienced for myself) that a woman is VERY fertile for 6 months to up to a year after having a baby / previous pregnancy. I lost a baby in March of 2008, was pregnant again by December 08, had that baby in August 2009, and became pregnant AGAIN in February 2010. If you do not want to have another baby this close to your baby boy, you should start bc immediatley. The chances of you getting pregnant in the year after his birth if you are not on bc are very very high.
Hi there, you are right the breast feeding will cause some mild cramping because it causes your uterus to contract back down more quickly than usual, the pregnancy test would most likely still have come back positive that soon after having a baby, I also suggest using some kind of protection if you plan to keep having sex and dont want to pregnant again, the breast feeding can make your period late or stop it all together if you are breast feeding full time, I breast fed for 10 months and never once had a period until i had to stop. Breast feeding stops you ovulating and some people will use it as a means of birth control for the first 6 months but it is not fool proof, I suggest condoms or the progestogen only pill. good luck :)
Ik that my mother and my uncle are almost exactly 10 months apart.
