bleeding and 5 weeks pregnant

Hi  Everyone, (very glad I found this board)
I am about 5 weeks pregnant but I have been very stressed at work and last night I came home very tired I went straight to sleep and woke up with a sharp pain on my left side and a terrible backache.  around 3:30 a.m. no blood however today when I woke up after I showered and went to the loo there was some blood not a lot but pink/redish so not old.  We have been ttc for about 8 months and I would be devastated if I lost the baby .. any help suggestions would be appreciated..  Scared of bad news.. Has any one else experienced this ?

Hi Kblades,

I think I did as well today I got more sharp pains and more bleeding.  they will let me know what my hcg levels are tomorrrow as well but I didn't get a good prognosis from my dr.  she also mentioned that she didn't think I was producing enough progestrone.  I didn't really ask as I was so upset by the news.. I am sorry that you are going through this as well. I wish you the best of luck and hope and pray that you did not miscarry.  Good luck with everything.. I will keep you posted as well

I experienced the same thing.  Have they been monitoring your HCG levels.  Mine was tested on a Monday at 2100.  Tuesday morning I woke up with the same pains. I thought it was gas pains.  Wednesday they did anopther HCG and it fell to 1400.  I'm waiting for them to call with my count now.  It's been a week since I was tested.  They think I miscarried.
