pregnant with scoliosis

I'm a FTM, when I was 10 years old i had back surgery to correct my scoliosis now as as adult and pregnant my back pain is painful. I'm only 10 weeks pregnant. Idk what to do or take... anyone ever been in my type of situation or know what can help with my pain. It's starting to travel into my leg and neck. I haven't been able to sleep. My husband even got me a body pillow and it's just not helping.

Oh yeah and I had a spinal block above my fusion. A stupid midwife told me I wouldn't be able to have a spinal blocknor an epidural but I called the anethatist cleared that up for me. Good luck!

I had a spinal fusion 2yrs before my first baby. Didn't bother me too much with that pregnancy but this has been harder as my tummy muscles were still healing from my csection. A belly brace and back support have been a god send! So much relief. I got mine properly fitted by a physio recommended by my ob.

My doctor told me to go to er let them give something for pain. Stress at 10 weeks is worse for the baby than the meds. My right leg gets an electric pain in it also. Hate to sayit only gets worse. I wasn't able to get epidural with my first because of my spinal column turned

I was told I won't be able to have a epidural Due to where back had been fused. I have had numerous surgeries so my body doesnmed take to Tylenol.... I've been in so much pain it's now hurting to walk with the pain going down into my legs. Before I got pregnant i was on meds for musical spasm and pain but I stopped taking them cause they were very strong... This last week the pain has just been getting worst..m I've been doing stretches I learned from PT, just not helping .. :/ some ppl said if I go to the ER they won't be able to do much for me cause I'm pregnant...

I have structural scoliosis, meaning not only does my back curve but my spinal column actually is turning in also. I was supposed to had surgery than found out i was pregnant. I'm 21 weeks and the pain is very severe. My doc wanted me at er 3 days ago but no one would watch my 2 year old. It hurts me just to breathe. I definitely know what your going through. Muscle relaxers .heating pad,Tylenol, nothing even touches the pain

I had scoliosis and had the rods put in then taken out because my body rejected the metals. Its awful. But the belts do help heat helps a lot but talk to your doc. I know Tylenol is ok to take while pregnant. The icy hot patches work if you can use them. But I would consult with your doc about it especially if you are thinking about the epidural for delivery. I'm opting out of it because of how much negativity I've heard with future back issues from having it. But definitely talk with your doc. The further you get with pregnancy the more the back will hurt

Chiropractor possibly it's just difficult to find one that won't mess up my back even more due to the surgery I had. I'm going to try out the maternity belt and see how it works 4 me.

I have scoliosis too. And my ob just told me to take tynol or a warm bath. Using a heating pad helps also. If it gets really bad go to the ER and they'll give you something.  They gave me vicidon for the pain when I was in the hospital.
