I've never heard of a primary care doctor doing prenatal checks. You should look into a obgyn
I have an obgyn already . But the paper on cal optima is asking me to pick a primary care provider
Oh yeah. Your primary care doctor will see you when your sick and for anything pretty much. I've seen my primary care doctor during my pregnancy but wasn't anything baby related.
Your primary care doctor may have to refer you to your ob/gyn .. like when I found out I was pregnant I had to go to my primary care Dr to confirm pregnancy and then get a referral from him to see my ob/gyn for prenatal care .. but I dnt have cal optima so idk if that's what they want you to do or not
A PCP is just a regular doctor that you would see for non pregnancy related things.
Okay thanks girls! I got a little confused on what exactly the pcp does.
