Labor Story

Labor was hard. I had an doctor appt yesterday at 1:45pm and was only 2cm dilated with barely any contractions. The contractions really started about 7pm and were about 7 minutes apart. I tried to get some sleep at about midnight. Woke up in really bad pain at 1pm with contractions 3-4 minutes apart. Went straight to the hospital and was dilated 4cm. At 4pm, I was dilated 6 cm and the pain was really worsening. At 6am, I was dilated 8cm and was pretty much bawling from the pain. I got an epidural then and we all napped for about 30 minutes. I was in heaven with the epidural after all that pain. The next few hours we were just waiting. I started feeling the contractions through the epidural at about 11am and I started preparing to push about noon. She came at 12:40 after about 25-30 minutes of pushing. My boyfriend was there throughout the whole thing supporting. I don't think I could have done it without him and God of course. Camille Marie Riley. Born 7lbs 2.4 oz. And 19" long.
