Is it bad to get my hair colored during my pregnancy?

Its a okay to dye your hair. Just do it in a well ventilated area and if you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop! Sad thing is being pregnant, my hair doesn't take color that well anymore. My roots are bright red!

I'm a cosmetologist ... It's perfectly fine doesn't effect the baby at all but your hair changes a lot because hormones so it might turn out totally different with tones and saturation but make sure your in a well ventilated area

If your doing it yourself at home you can get box colours in any health shop! :) I used Naturtint, no chemicals whatsoever so its safe :) It also comes out really nice, looks natural :)

Its mainly only because the chemicals u breathe in could potentionally harm the baby

They don't recommend it because the chemicals in hair dye could mess with the baby they say if u absolutely have to dye your hair to avoid in the 3rd trimester cuz that's when most of the brain cells and lungs start/finish developing.

All over dye is not supposed to be food in first trimester but they don't have a lot of evidence in studies to support the effects. Highlights or lowlights are safer cuz they don't really touch your scalp and thus don't get absorbed into body. I did all over color after first trimester with my first and then highlights with my other two and they're fine lol

I get a relaxer every 6 weeks so coloring is fine.

I dnt think so!. I heard that it is if U bleached ur hair. But im not sure. I never done it before. I only cut my hair but nuthing never happened.. And is not like U do it often...

It's not bad for the baby they just recommend that you don't because supposedly the hormones in your body will prevent you from achieving the hair color your supposed to get
