My husband's mom smoked when she was pregnant with him and ended up having asthma which she transfered to him. The asthma didn't show when he was young but years later when he started stressing at work. He really suffers from it. Think about your baby.. don't smoke!
For some reason i just had no desire to smoke anymore. So i was lucky now the smell makes me sick.
Thank you ladies I felt alone. Encouragement helps.
The important thing is to keep trying to cut back. Like I said before, every puff you don't take helps baby.
Omg moms I smoke and feel so bad I want to burst out in tears cuz ik for a ract they are harmful to baby im 20 weeks nw &have cut bck so much bcuz I really want my princess to b healthy it would break my heart if ANYTHING is wrng w.her I wold never forgive myself I smoke so much less wen her dad isnt arnd ..good luck everyone
I smoked with all four of my children ! 3 are with me and my fourth I carried for 38 weeks and she was still born!! While I had lots of risk factors ...smoking was one and now I have to live with the fact that smoking could have killed my baby!! I smoked 10 to 12 cigs a day with all my babies. I would tell anyone to quit if possible! ..believe me u don't want to live with the what if's!:(
Had a hard time quitting myself but I quit about 2 weeks after I found out I'm now going on a week and a half without smoking which is tough BC my hubby still smokes but the smell stinks so bad
I'm having the toughest time quitting smoking. But I have dropped down from a pack a day to maybe 5 if I have time. But my doctor said quitting cold turkey then having withdrawals is worse for the baby then smoking a couple a day. So your best bet will be too just cut down slowly. You won't go through the withdrawals and you'll still get your craving until you don't have that craving anymore
Caffeine on the other hand is a different battle. I love cherry coke but inky have one every couple days. And I quit coffee Ib order to keep my pop! Lol
I had a hard time the first month. But my daughter is more important then that! If I refuse to smoke around mt 4 year old why should my innocent unborn baby have to inhale it. I am proud to say I'm going on 6 months smoke free! Feels good! And everyone always compliments me when I walk in somewhere with saying I smell really good. That never happened when I was a smoker! You can doo it, it's all in your mind. Trust me, I've smoked for over 10 years, but quit for Both my babies. They deserve it!
I was smoking a pack a day and when I found out I was prego I cut back to 5 a day but now I cant help it with the stress from work I smoke anywhere from 5 to 9 a day and I feel bad just like u but my doc said its fine as long as I dont go over that, and on my days off I smoke 1 to 5. Dont beat urself up girl!
I smoked with all my kids as well but I cut back considerably I went from 6-8 smokes down to 1-2 sometimes none but now that I'm having another and I have all my other kiddies running around getting outside for a smoke for five mins is a treat, I'm really trying sooooo hard to quit. I WILL quit! Slowly is better then not at all .. I wish you luck..
I Didn't Have A Hard Time With Cigarettes But I Still Crave Cigars!!
I smoked the first 3 months and luckily the smell started bothering me and I quit. :) good luck
I stopped drinking caffeine I only have a lil every now and then I do everything right except smoke. I drink lots of water and eat right. I feel guilty of course cause I smoke and know its risky.
I smoked with all of my kids. Im pregnant with my 4th. All of them have been fine. The stress and side effects from quitting were doing more damage than the smoking was.
Not smoking but caffeine. I went child turkey with my first one but I've cheated more with this one. The important thing is you're trying. Every puff you resist helps your little one. Good luck mama!
Ive switched 2 an electronic fag and weaning myself of it,
