I smoked a pack a day with my previous pregnancies and my kids are fine but that doesn't mean every baby born to a chain smoker will be fine. No one can say why my babies were ok when I smoked every day but this other lady's baby was born unhealthy while she did everything right. We just need to do our very best to be healthy for our babies

My mom smoked all day everyday with me and my two sisters she says. We came out fine. I know a girl who smoked literally a pck a day and child is fine. I use to smoke a pack a day than i found out i was prego and stopped completely but these past few weeks i have been craving them.and off to smoking a cigarette maybe two (its rare) a day. Are bodys are very strong and can handle a lot babys also. But im.sure it depends on your body and how it wants to function. Im.sure your baby will be okay just dont over do it. Smoke if you really really need it.

I set a simple goal. Each day I would decrease by one. Then got down to one a day. After about a week of just one a day I invested in the nicotine free Ecigs that come in different flavors. Its more of a social thing  now....but the ecig is safe : ) Took a couple of weeks but now I no longer have the urge. Plus I thought of how I wouldn't smoke around my baby or any baby for that matter  so it made it easier. Good luck...I know its hard

I'm 30 weeks and I've been trying to quit from the day I found out I was pregnant and all I've done is cut back a lot idk y but I would stress out soooo bad when I didn't smoke so I just cut back to no more than 5 a day

Cigarette is an addiction really so its very normal that its hard to stop. I dont smoke, never did but i know that people arent the same. Some people have different ways to stop its just finding the one that works for you. I would talk to ur dr and see what they would recommend. I had a friend who stopped by eating carrots. Another replaced that craving for chocolate (not super healthy lol) some people try that vapor cigarette thingy, others the patch. If you can cut down to a couple a day then youve done a really good start. The idea is to no give up and treat yourself everytime u reach a goal. Setting small goals is much easier to reach then big goals. Everytime u reach one buy yourself a new shirt or something cute. My cousin in law stopped cold turkey and she put all the moneu she used to spend on cigarette in a jar and then she spent all that money on baby clothes and little toys. Good luck :) and think positive and stay strong!
