What all do they do at the first prenatal doc appt

Depending on how far along you are, you get an ultrasound, hear the heartbeat and a vaginal check not a full blown pap smear. And they ask you questions about your period and personal questions.

Yeh I didn't get a pap done either since I'm not 21 they just checked for STDs and did blood work and confirmed my pregnancy and asked a bunch of questions at the first appt!

I got an ultrasound on my second appointment but I'm 38 weeks now n I haven't had a Pap smear yet...is that normal?

I didn't get to have an ultrasound done at my first appointment, I had to wait a few days. You just get your blood drawn, pee in a cup, and the doctor asks you questions about your last period and things like that. I didn't get a pap smear done until my second appointment. I guess every doctor is different. Good luck and congratulations :)

My first visit is on Friday! Congrats to you. I'm also a little nervous as to what they do at this first appointment.

For my first appointment they did an ultrasound and we got to see our little peanut and hear his heartbeat. After that I had a pap smear done and talked to and met my doctor :)
